A general introduction to the Center of Islamic Civilization: when and on whose initiative it was founded, what it brings together under one roof and what it sets out to do. Three tabs — at a glance, missions and goals.
Conceived under the vision and leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in 2017, the Islamic Civilization Center is more than a museum. It is an international hub for science, culture and learning, combining the richest treasures of pre‑Islamic and Islamic heritage of Uzbekistan with modern digital technologies and academic research.
The unique exhibits collected here demonstrate how Islamic civilization in Uzbekistan developed over the centuries, through science, education and upbringing, culture and enlightenment.
Visitors will not only find priceless artefacts but also interactive learning labs, virtual exhibitions, Time Capsules and Time Walls and multilingual digital resources designed to make the Center accessible to people from all over the world.
