An international scientific conference on the topic “The Role and Significance of Amir Temur and the Timurid Civilization in World History and Culture”

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 5, 2026 (PQ–46), an international scientific conference titled “The Role and Significance of Amir Temur and the Timurid Civilization in World History and Culture” will be held on April 9–11, 2026 at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.

Program:

April 8 — Arrival of foreign participants and cultural program. Familiarization with the exhibitions of the Islamic Civilization Center, manuscripts from the Timurid period, numismatic heritage, and thematic exhibitions, as well as a visit to the State Museum of the History of the Timurids. In the evening, a screening of a documentary feature film.

April 9 — Official opening of the conference, keynote speeches, and academic sessions. In the evening, a musical mapping show and an official reception.

April 10 — Continuation of sectional sessions, presentation of international projects, signing of memorandums, and adoption of final documents.

April 11 — Cultural program in Samarkand: visits to the Imam Bukhari Memorial Complex, the Mausoleum of Amir Temur, Registan Square, Bibi-Khanym Mosque, and the Shakhi-Zinda complex.

This conference is aimed at studying and promoting the legacy of Amir Temur and the Timurids at the international level.
