Representatives of the International Advisory Council recognized another bright symbol of New Uzbekistan’s development
Representatives of the International Advisory Council visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The guests got acquainted with the Center’s exhibitions and highly praised both its architectural scale and its conceptually rich and profound scientific foundation.
During the visit, members of the International Advisory Council had the opportunity in the Pre-Islamic Period section to observe ancient texts in their original script through an interactive monitor dedicated to the “Avesta.” It was particularly emphasized that this technological solution enables the presentation of ancestral written heritage in a modern format.
In the First Renaissance section, the screen presentation dedicated to the great thinker Abu Nasr al-Farabi on the “Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries” aroused significant interest among the guests. The idea of “bringing scholars to life” was assessed as an impactful method in modern museology.
The project “Amir Temur in the Eyes of Europeans” also drew special attention. Through it, detailed information was presented about Sahibqiran’s relations with European states, as well as his role and significance on the international stage.
In the exhibition “New Uzbekistan – The Foundation of a New Renaissance,” the country’s modern achievements were showcased, including a section dedicated to the champions of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which particularly attracted the guests’ attention.
Alfred Gusenbauer, Member of the International Advisory Council:
Everyone who visits this place is inevitably impressed. The Center possesses not only a grand architectural image but also exceptionally rich and multifaceted content. It is a modern interactive center where visitors can directly engage with Islamic civilization, particularly the history of Uzbekistan. The sections dedicated to the discoveries of ancient astronomers and scholars were especially fascinating. The fact that the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan was established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is of particular significance. This initiative represents an important step that embodies the idea of New Uzbekistan and harmonizes national traditions with modern development goals.
Štefan Füle, Member of the International Advisory Council:
This center is an extraordinary place. The establishment of such a center on a land where Islam has been harmonized with progress and enlightenment carries deep symbolic meaning. Here, one can almost feel the living breath of history. The exhibition is very thoughtfully designed. The effective use of artificial intelligence, audio, and video technologies leaves a strong impression. This is an entirely new approach to museology. It can be described not merely as a museum, but as a spiritual platform for dialogue between civilizations.
Representatives of the International Advisory Council emphasized that the Center’s modernity and its well-organized technological structure are transforming it into yet another bright symbol of New Uzbekistan’s development.
