The documentary series “Whispers of Wisdom”, produced by the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and created on the basis of the authorial initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has advanced to the final stage of one of the world’s most prestigious film industry awards — the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards 2026. The project features internationally acclaimed, Academy Award-winning actor Ben Kingsley.

This achievement indicates that the project has been highly evaluated by an international jury of experts. At the final stage, the documentary will compete for bronze, silver, or gold awards. The winners are scheduled to be announced on May 21, 2026, during the Storytellers Gala awards ceremony.

The documentary widely highlights the rich intellectual and spiritual heritage of the Islamic world through the immense contributions of great scholars from Central Asia — such as al-Khwarizmi, al-Fergani, Ibn Sina, and others — to the development of world civilization. The project also provides an in-depth analysis of the Timurid and Baburid periods, as well as other historical civilizations of the region, presenting their impact on the advancement of science, medicine, and philosophy through a scholarly yet accessible approach.

Previously, materials from the project were presented to international audiences and broadcast on leading global television channels such as CNN, BBC, and Euronews, further enhancing its prominence in the global information space.

The New York Festivals TV & Film Awards is a highly prestigious international award in the fields of television and film, distinguished by its rigorous selection process, wide geographical representation of participants, and high level of competition. Projects produced by leading media companies such as BBC, National Geographic, and Netflix have previously received top honors within this competition.
