The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan will sign a joint program to create a media platform for young journalists.
The document will be signed today, August 24, as part of the International Media Forum “Islamic Civilization: New Perspective — New Discoveries.” The new media platform will focus on studying and widely promoting Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage.
The forum program also includes a series of creative meetings featuring renowned professionals in documentary filmmaking, television, modern media, and digital technologies. These meetings will be held at higher education institutions in Tashkent and Samarkand.
Sherzod Kudratkhodjaev, Rector of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, will present a project at the forum titled “How can history be made interesting for young people? The benefits of visualizing Islamic civilization for future generations.”
The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan will serve as the main venue of the forum. It will bring together 300 representatives of the media and expert community from nearly 50 countries, including executives of media companies, news agencies and television channels, as well as journalists, producers, scholars, and creative industry professionals.
