Participants of the international media forum “Islamic Civilization: New Perspective — New Discoveries” arrived in Samarkand following the events held in Tashkent.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev places great emphasis on preserving the country’s rich historical and cultural heritage, conducting in-depth research into the scholarly and spiritual legacy of our great ancestors, and promoting it widely on the international stage. The visit to Samarkand as part of the media forum also serves to showcase these important efforts to representatives of the international media and expert community.

The guests will have an opportunity to explore Samarkand’s unique historical and scholarly environment, shaped over centuries. The visit program includes the Imam Bukhari Complex and the Hadith School, Gur-e Amir, Bibi-Khanum, Registan Square, Ulugbek Observatory, and other historic sites.
