During his visit to the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, Tran Anh Tuan, founder of the Vietnamese company ROX Group, explored a comprehensive panorama of the country’s history, from its millennia-old past to its present-day development.
Established on the initiative and vision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the complex impressed the guest not only with its monumental architectural scale, but also with its concept of bringing together history, science, culture, and modern technologies within a single space.
The “New Uzbekistan — Foundation of a New Renaissance” exhibition attracted Tran Anh Tuan’s particular interest. Alongside the historical stages of Uzbekistan’s development, it presents the country’s wide-ranging transformations in recent years, as well as its economic and social progress, through modern multimedia solutions.
Tran Anh Tuan’s reflections on the Center revealed another important aspect of the visit. According to him, the Center significantly enriches one’s understanding of Uzbekistan:
“I have visited Tashkent many times, but this is my first visit to the Center. I did not expect to see such a vast, high-tech complex that so vividly reflects Uzbekistan’s rich history. I was particularly impressed by the third stage of Uzbekistan’s development — the era of New Uzbekistan.
I believe that anyone who visits this place will gain even greater respect for Uzbekistan. It clearly demonstrates not only the country’s great historical legacy, but also the remarkable pace at which it is developing today.
Uzbekistan is one of the fastest-growing countries in Central Asia.
Two aspects made a particularly strong impression on me. The first was Uzbekistan’s rich and ancient history. But what impressed me most was the new stage of development that began in 2016 — the era of New Uzbekistan.”
Another important aspect of the visit was Tran Anh Tuan’s observation that what he saw at the Center further strengthened his interest in investment opportunities in Uzbekistan.
“I am the founder of ROX Group in Vietnam. We are currently exploring opportunities to invest in Uzbekistan. This was my first visit to the Center, and after this visit, I became even more confident about making significant investments in Uzbekistan.”
This is precisely the idea behind the Islamic Civilization Center — to showcase Uzbekistan’s great history while also presenting its modern image and future potential to the world.
