A delegation led by Professor Datuk Abdul Latiff Mirasa, Executive Chairman of Malaysia’s Yayasan Restu organization and Director General of the Nasyrul Quran Center, visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.

The foreign experts closely familiarized themselves with the Center’s exhibitions, architectural solutions, and museum concept developed using modern technologies. At the conclusion of the visit, Professor Datuk Abdul Latiff Mirasa highly praised the exhibitions at the Center, describing the visit as a deeply impressive experience.

He particularly highlighted the comprehensive presentation of the history of Islamic civilization, from its beginnings in Mecca and Medina to its development in Central Asia.

“The President and people of Uzbekistan have accomplished truly remarkable work here. They have succeeded in presenting the history of Islamic civilization, particularly its development in this region, in a highly impressive way. Most importantly, this history is closely connected with the spread of Islam from Mecca and Medina to Central Asia and its subsequent development in this region,” he said.

Professor Mirasa also placed particular emphasis on the way historical content and modern technologies have been integrated throughout the Center’s exhibitions.

“I have visited many countries around the world and seen a great number of museums. However, I was particularly impressed by the way technology is used here to showcase the beauty of Islam, as well as the rich culture of the people of Uzbekistan and its various regions. In my view, this is the best I have ever seen,” the Malaysian expert said.

According to him, the modern technologies used at the Center do more than simply present history; they also allow visitors to experience it more vividly. This is particularly important in conveying the essence and beauty of Islam to diverse audiences.

“Islam is beauty. It is about goodness, kindness, and mutual respect. A person who comes here can experience this meaning firsthand. I believe the Center also gives non-Muslim visitors an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of Islam and gain a deeper understanding of it,” said Datuk Abdul Latiff Mirasa.

The Malaysian professor also gave special recognition to the experts, thinkers, and scholars who contributed to the creation of the Center.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the President, the Government and people of Uzbekistan, and especially to the thinkers and scholars who devoted their knowledge, intellect, and efforts to the creation of this complex. By bringing together their vision, hearts, and hard work, they have created a unique place that reflects both the beauty of the building and the spirit of Islam,” he said.

Yayasan Restu and the Nasyrul Quran Center, headed by Datuk Abdul Latiff Mirasa, are engaged in the production of copies of the Qur’an, the preservation of its manuscript and printed heritage, and the promotion of Qur’anic culture.

During the visit, particular attention was also given to prospects for cooperation in areas related to Qur’anic heritage. It was noted that such ties would contribute to the further development of cultural and educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia, as well as to the international promotion of the two countries’ shared historical and spiritual heritage.

The Malaysian expert’s high praise demonstrates that the exhibition concept of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, which brings together historical heritage, scholarship, art, and modern technologies, is also generating strong interest among international experts.
