The Director of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan reviewed the Center’s publishing activities.

A regular working meeting was held at the Islamic Civilization Center to discuss further improving the substantive quality, scholarly accuracy, and editorial standards of the academic and educational publications currently being prepared for publication.

During the meeting, the current status of books, fundamental works, translations, and other publications under preparation was reviewed in detail. It was emphasized that, before any publication is recommended for printing, it must undergo rigorous expert evaluation in terms of its scholarly concept, the quality of work with sources, the coherence and integrity of the text, as well as the quality of translation and editing.

In particular, the current status of the preparation of 114 Qur’an copies, as well as the scholarly and editorial work being carried out in this regard, was reviewed separately. At every stage of this process, priority was given to ensuring historical and scholarly accuracy, a responsible approach to the text, and adherence to high publishing standards.

Specific tasks were also set to identify and eliminate existing errors and shortcomings in the books being prepared for publication with the participation of a group of experts, as well as to strengthen cooperation among authors, editors, translators, and specialists in the relevant fields.

It was noted during the meeting that the Center’s publishing activities should be guided not merely by the goal of publishing books, but by the creation of academically rigorous, substantively comprehensive publications capable of serving as reliable sources for many years to come.

At the conclusion of the discussions, relevant instructions were given to reassess the readiness of each publication, address the identified shortcomings within the established deadlines, and recommend the final materials for publication on the basis of expert review.
