On August 2, 2025, a scientific and creative discussion meeting was held at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, dedicated to the “First Renaissance” section of the Museum. The section’s concept, thematic exhibitions, and visual design solutions were thoroughly reviewed.

A new scholarly and creative discussion session was held at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan to further enrich the museum’s core exhibitions, refine scientific concepts, and coordinate practical plans. The meeting brought together the Center’s leadership, key staff members, members of the Scientific Council, and leading scholars in the field.

In the year 799 AH (1397 CE), Amir Temur visited the city of Yassi (present-day Turkistan, Kazakhstan), where he paid homage at the tomb of the great Sufi master Khoja Ahmad Yassawi and ordered the construction of a grand mausoleum at the site. For the needs of the mausoleum, a number of artistic objects were commissioned a large cauldron, six candlesticks, doors, a peshtoq (portal), and four rings most of which have survived to the present day.

Today marks the 110th anniversary of the birth of Igor Vitalyevich Savitsky — an artist, collector, and museum founder who holds a special place in the history of modern Uzbek art and culture.
