The Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan is advancing its cooperation with the world’s largest and most prestigious auction houses - Christie’s and Sotheby’s, both based in the United Kingdom to a new, strategic level of development. This collaboration represents a significant step toward preserving cultural heritage, showcasing it on an international scale, and promoting the rich history and art of the Uzbek people to the global community.

Within the framework of the nationwide educational campaign “Enlightenment Caravan” held under the theme “Civilization, Culture, and Enlightenment” at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, a national scientific-practical seminar is being conducted in cooperation with the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment and with the participation of Uzbek scholars. The seminar brings together scholars from across Uzbekistan, representatives of research institutions, and other related organizations.

The artifact expected to be featured in the exhibition of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan was discovered in 1894 at the Mugtepa site near the village of Tul in the Sokh District of the Fergana Region. In academic literature, it is referred to as the “Sokh find”. The artifact is made of chrysotile and measures 27 cm in height, 24 cm in width, 4.5 cm in thickness, and weighs 4.806 kg.

The scientific and educational events of the “Enlightenment Caravan” advocacy group, organized under the theme “Civilization, Culture, Enlightenment”, are ongoing in the Surkhandarya region.
