In today’s globalized world, promoting interfaith and intercivilizational dialogue has become one of the most urgent priorities. Uzbekistan is recognized as a leading initiator in this field across the region, distinguished by its open, tolerant, and academically grounded approach. In this regard, the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, established on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has become one of the most significant international scholarly and spiritual platforms. The Center has built systematic cooperation with prominent international organizations such as UNESCO and ICESCO, contributing to the global promotion of Islamic cultural heritage.

On 20 November 2025, the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan was awarded one of Europe’s prestigious distinctions the Prix Avicenne 2025 (the Avicenna Prize 2025). The award ceremony took place in Paris, at the building of the French National Academy of Medicine, where leading scholars, medical historians, Orientalists, specialists in Islamic heritage, and representatives of European cultural institutions gathered. During the official session, it was announced that the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan had been presented with the Avicenna memorial statuette and the prize diploma.

The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan today stands not only as a hub of historical knowledge but also as a unique space where modern thought, cultural renewal, and scientific research come together. Foreign officials, scholars, and researchers visiting the Center highly value the ancient richness of the heritage displayed here, the advanced scientific approach, and the use of modern museum technologies throughout the exhibitions.
