A conference entitled “The Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan is the Wealth of All Humanity: Presentation of New Uzbekistan’s International Projects” was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, and the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan (WOSCU).
From April 9 to 11, an international scientific conference dedicated to the 690th anniversary of Amir Temur’s birth was held at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. Organized at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the event became a major international platform for discussing the role of Amir Temur and the civilization of the Eastern Renaissance in world history and culture.

The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan has once again become a major international platform for scholarly dialogue. In cooperation with Malaysia, the Center hosted an international scientific and practical conference entitled “Scientific Tradition in Islamic Civilization: Resources, Potential and Challenges.”

Uzbekistan introduced new initiatives aimed at transforming the heritage of Islamic civilization into a platform for peace, scientific advancement, and international cooperation. Initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the First International Islamic Civilization Forum, held in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Termez, brought together more than 300 politicians, heads of international organizations, religious scholars, and leading academics from 46 countries.

Nearly 300 representatives of the media, academia, and creative industries from almost 50 countries gathered in Tashkent and Samarkand to discuss how the history, culture, and intellectual heritage of Uzbekistan and Islamic civilization can be presented to the modern world. However, the most significant outcome of the five-day forum was not the number of events held, but the foundation it laid for long-term international cooperation. New films, books, digital projects, educational programs, and media initiatives will offer new ways of telling Uzbekistan’s story to the world.
