Hasan Safarxoniy: “The President of Uzbekistan has accomplished an extremely commendable and honorable achievement”

“This Center helps young people understand their rich past.” An Iranian diplomat visited the Islamic Civilization Center and was deeply impressed by its exhibitions.
Hasan Safarxoniy, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Uzbekistan, paid an official visit to the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
During the visit, he closely familiarized himself with all the Center’s exhibitions. The historical artifacts, miniatures, and manuscripts on display, as well as the modern interactive presentations, generated great interest in the guest.
Hasan Safarxoniy paid particular attention to the Center’s role in presenting Uzbekistan’s scientific and cultural heritage. As he emphasized, the Center not only showcases the rich history and cultural achievements of Islamic civilization, but also serves as an important platform for conveying this heritage to the younger generation and the international community. It was also noted that the harmonious integration of classical architectural styles with modern technologies is one of the Center’s distinctive features.
“First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the respected President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for undertaking such an extremely valuable and honorable initiative, and for establishing such a grand center to present not only Uzbekistan’s, but the entire region’s historical identity and civilization. Undoubtedly, this is a work of great and high significance. The Center very effectively demonstrates two great and valuable stages of Islamic civilization. Most importantly, it shows today’s world — especially the youth of Uzbekistan and the region — that their past was extraordinarily rich, meaningful, and brilliant.
To be honest, it is difficult to single out any one section, as all parts are beautiful. In particular, bringing copies of works preserved in world museums — including those in Iran and other countries — and exhibiting them here is a highly valuable initiative. This undoubtedly serves to promote Islamic civilization and to make effective use of its experience in building modern civilization. A very significant, important, and commendable achievement has been realized. The Center can make a substantial contribution by hosting international conferences and scientific gatherings, publishing specialized journals, and implementing research projects with the participation of scholars from various countries, including Iran and Uzbekistan,” said Hasan Safarxoniy.
During the visit, the guest also became acquainted with the works exhibited at the Center, including rare artifacts and replicas brought from museums in Iran and other countries, as well as objects of historical significance. Through these works, the scientific, cultural, and spiritual heritage of Islamic civilization was clearly demonstrated.
In addition, during the visit, Director Firdavs Abduholiqov and Hasan Safarxoniy discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. In particular, they reviewed opportunities for collaboration between Uzbekistan and Iran in scientific research, education, and cultural exchange projects, including cooperation through conferences, symposiums, and special publications.
