Professors, lecturers, and cadets of the Customs Institute visited the Islamic Civilization Center
Professors, lecturers, and cadets of the Customs Institute who visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, which presents the rich civilizational heritage of Uzbekistan through modern technologies, received extensive information about historical sources and rare artifacts.
A delegation consisting of professors, lecturers, and cadets from the Customs Institute of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and closely familiarized themselves with the rich scientific and spiritual heritage of our country.
Brief information was provided about the Center’s activities, its exhibition concept, and the unique historical sources displayed there.
Members of the delegation were introduced to the rare artifacts, manuscripts, works of art, and historical sources presented in each section. The guests gained a broad understanding of the stages of the formation and development of Islamic civilization in Central Asia through the organized exhibitions.
In particular, the special video presentations shown in the immersive rooms made a strong impression on the members of the delegation. It was noted that such modern multimedia presentations summarize the content of each hall and allow visitors to understand historical processes in a comprehensive and integrated way.
Yelena Ladigina, senior lecturer at the Department of Specialized Customs Control of the Customs Institute, shared her thoughts about the visit and emphasized that the Center’s exhibitions are especially important for young people.
During the visit, we had the opportunity to closely familiarize ourselves with rare written sources, the legacy of our great scholars, and achievements in the field of Islamic civilization. In particular, it is extremely important for cadets to learn about historical information, important dates, and written sources. This contributes to educating knowledgeable young people with a broad worldview in the future, — she said.
She also emphasized that the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, as a scientific and spiritual institution of global significance, can compete with prestigious museums around the world.
Senior lecturer of the Customs Institute Ruxshona Madaliyeva also highly appreciated the Center’s exhibitions.
I visited the Center for the first time and received a great impression. Here, unique exhibits from the earliest stages of our history — from the primitive communal era to the Middle Ages, as well as the First and Second Renaissance periods — are collected. The rich artifacts and historical evidence presented at the Center demonstrate Uzbekistan’s rich civilizational heritage not only to our compatriots, especially the youth, but also to the international community, — she said.
It should be noted that in August 2025, in order to enrich the museum exposition of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, customs officers actively participated in the process of gradually transferring rare exhibits and manuscripts collected at the Forums Palace to the Center’s building, ensuring the safe and systematic delivery of historical and culturally valuable items.
Thanks to the high level of responsibility and well-organized practical assistance, each exhibit was accepted into the Center’s collection in accordance with established procedures.
