An important platform for regional cooperation

Khayriddin Usmonzoda, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. During the visit, the guest toured the Center’s exhibition halls and became closely acquainted with the rich historical and cultural heritage that developed in the territory of our country.

The guest first familiarized himself with the main entrance area of the Center — the foyer interior. The architectural composition consisting of 14 large arches particularly attracted his attention. The foyer is designed as a kind of Hall of Glory, where monumental paintings created for the arches depict the great historical transformations that took place after the arrival of Islam in the territory of Uzbekistan, as well as the heroes of historical events that played an important role in the destiny of the people. The artworks begin from the right side of the foyer and are arranged in a thematic and chronological order.

After that, the guest became acquainted with the section of the Center’s exposition dedicated to the civilizations of the pre-Islamic period. This section presents the archaeological and cultural heritage of civilizations that emerged in Central Asia from ancient times, as well as unique artifacts belonging to different historical periods. In particular, the interactive approach used in the “Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries” attracted great interest from the guest. Here, visitors have the opportunity to learn about discoveries and civilizational processes that played an important role in the development of humanity through modern technologies.

During the visit, Khayriddin Usmonzoda received detailed information about the development of Islamic civilization presented at the Center, the scientific heritage of scholars from our land who contributed to science, culture and enlightenment, as well as manuscripts, rare books and cultural monuments from various periods. The methods of presenting historical information through modern multimedia technologies, interactive screens and digital displays also made a strong impression on the guest.

According to Khayriddin Usmonzoda, the complex is a unique place that demonstrates a rich historical heritage, where modern scientific approaches are harmoniously combined with respect for historical legacy.

“Indeed, this building is a unique place that brings together a very rich historical treasure. Here one can clearly see the harmony between modern historiographical expertise and deep respect for historical heritage. Often, when people speak about history, they perceive it merely as looking back at the past. However, when a person reflects on the past, it helps them see the path to the future more clearly. At the same time, it gives deeper meaning to the present in which we live.

From this perspective, it is evident that modern and attractive artistic solutions have been applied in this magnificent building to reveal the essence and meaning of historical heritage. Modern technologies clearly demonstrate how people can come closer to understanding history more deeply. Therefore, we express our gratitude to the Uzbek specialists who created such a large museum complex in Central Asia that embodies a rich historical heritage, for their high level of professionalism and artistic mastery.

I can say with full confidence that this place shows today’s younger generation how to draw lessons from history. Often when people talk about young people and their attitude toward history, it is said that they are indifferent to it. But if history and historical heritage are presented to young people through such modern technologies, I believe their interest in history and their attitude toward it can change fundamentally. This can be clearly seen in how successfully it has been implemented in this museum,” said Khayriddin Usmonzoda.

During the visit, the international significance of the Center was also discussed. According to Khayriddin Usmonzoda, the culture and civilization of the peoples of Central Asia were formed through the interaction of different peoples and cultures. Therefore, this Center serves as an important scientific and cultural platform that presents a shared historical heritage.

He also recalled that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, had previously visited the Center, emphasizing that the high assessment given to the Center’s regional and international significance is fully justified.

At the end of the visit, Khayriddin Usmonzoda invited the citizens of Tajikistan to visit the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and become closely acquainted with the shared history and cultural heritage of the peoples of Central Asia.

Such visits serve to strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation among the countries of Central Asia and promote the common history and cultural heritage of our peoples.
