Scholars from UNFPA and Al-Azhar visited the Islamic Civilization Center
A delegation comprising scholars and professors from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) office in Uzbekistan and the prestigious Al-Azhar University of the Arab Republic of Egypt visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
During the visit, the guests closely familiarized themselves with the Center’s museum exhibitions, scientific and educational departments, and modern infrastructure. They highly appreciated the richness of the exhibitions’ content, their presentation in visual and interactive formats, as well as the comfortable conditions created for visitors.
During the excursion, the delegation members became acquainted with the legacy of great scholars and thinkers who emerged from this land, emphasizing that this is an unparalleled source of pride for Uzbekistan. In particular, they noted that the information in the exhibitions is presented in a clear and modern manner suitable for young people. According to the guests, such an approach vividly demonstrates that a highly developed civilization has existed in this region since ancient times.
Within the framework of the visit, one of the places that left the greatest impression on the delegation members was the Qur’an Hall. The grandeur of the Uthman Mushaf displayed there, along with its historical and spiritual significance, was received with great admiration and respect by the guests.
The guests also noted the extensive use of modern technologies, interactive solutions, and artificial intelligence at the Center. According to them, this allows every visitor to gain a deeper understanding of history, explore it independently, and truly feel it.
Overall, the delegation members acknowledged that the Center was established within a short period and that its scientific, educational, and cultural significance is extremely high. They evaluated the complex not only as important for Uzbekistan but also as a significant educational and scientific platform at the international level, expressing their intention to recommend visiting this place to their colleagues, students, and the wider public in the future.
Ibrahim al-Hudhud, Professor (Egypt):
I am very pleased to have visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Tashkent, established on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The exhibition methods, organizational work, and simulations here are of a very high standard. Through the exhibitions, we felt as if we were directly witnessing and experiencing civilizations from the pre-Islamic period to the present day.
The Center is equipped with modern technologies and artificial intelligence, which allows every visitor to independently acquire knowledge. To be honest, it would take several days to fully explore this place. This is truly a large-scale international project.
Most importantly, this place strengthens a sense of identity among young people. This is because the key factors that define a person’s identity are their language, religion, and history.
