The delegation of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan witnessed an unexpected presentation of 3,000 years of historical truth

A delegation led by Bakhtiyor Islamov, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, built on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. While exploring the museum, the guests became acquainted with three thousand years of history and civilizations and were deeply impressed by the innovative approaches used in the exhibitions.
Within the delegation, special interest was drawn to the mosaic depiction of the great commander Amir Temur in the “Gallery of Great Figures,” established at the Center, as the 690th anniversary of his birth is to be celebrated in the coming days. Detailed information was provided about the historical facts that at the age of 35 he established a centralized state, founded the Timurid Empire, and laid the foundation for the Second Renaissance.
In the exhibitions dedicated to the pre-Islamic period, the delegation highly appreciated the impressive presentation of three thousand years of statehood through bas-reliefs, miniatures, and monumental paintings featured along the 250-meter-long “Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries.” In particular, the unique chess pieces discovered at the Dalvarzintepa site in Surkhandarya, created four centuries earlier than those found in India, evoked great astonishment among the guests.
More than 500 artifacts brought from prestigious auctions in London, including a collection of Sogdian garments and textiles, were also examined with great interest. The opportunity to virtually “try on” these garments through artificial intelligence became a modern and distinctive highlight for the delegation.
Bakhtiyor Islomov, Chairman of the Supreme Court:
We received a very strong impression from the Center. An unprecedented project has been realized here. The fact that it was built on the initiative of our respected President further enhances its significance. Our entire history and statehood are embodied here, and I believe it will remain an important heritage for the whole world in the future.
This complex is even worthy of being included in the Guinness Book of Records. If projects of such a level were to be selected, I would recommend this Center first.
In the section dedicated to the First Renaissance, particular attention was given to the history and significance of a banner bearing the image of a double-headed eagle from the Seljuk period. In addition, great interest was shown in the presentation of seven capsules representing the VIII–XII centuries — a period known as the “Golden Age of Islam,” marked by a major rise in science, culture, and enlightenment. The first capsule includes information about the letters sent by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to world rulers, an image of the Kaaba, and embroidered inscriptions of inspirational prayers.
Alisher Usmanov, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court:
Even before the opening of the Islamic Civilization Center, we followed it with great interest and looked forward to its launch. Today we had the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with its activities and exhibits.
Frankly speaking, what I saw left a very deep impression on me. The antiquity of our history and the greatness of our people are vividly reflected here. In particular, I once again deeply felt the immense contribution of our ancestors — Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Abu Rayhan al-Biruni, Amir Temur, and Mirzo Ulugbek — to world civilization. Therefore, I sincerely feel proud to be a representative of the Uzbek people.
It is especially significant that the three Renaissance periods are presented here consistently and based on clear evidence. Every exhibit and every section reflects the great history of our nation. I believe every citizen should definitely visit this place. I myself intend to come again with my children and grandchildren, because knowing and taking pride in our history is important for all of us.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to those who built this Center and to the team working here. Through this Center, the rich history and spiritual heritage of our people are being showcased even more vividly.
In the section dedicated to the Second Renaissance, the exhibition on diplomatic relations during the time of Amir Temur also attracted particular attention. Specifically, the letters sent to Amir Temur by King Charles VI of France, which emphasized friendship, trade, and security between states, aroused great interest within the delegation.
In the “New Uzbekistan — Foundation of the New Renaissance” section, the composition titled “Pillars of Statehood” revealed a new conceptual and philosophical approach for the delegation. Through this ensemble, the development of statehood from ancient civilizations to independent Uzbekistan is presented in a consistent and symbolic manner, which was highly recognized.
Abdukhalim Kholmakhmatov, Head of the Apparatus of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan:
I can say with confidence that every person who visits this place — not only citizens of Uzbekistan but people from all over the world — leaves deeply impressed. This place makes one reflect: who our ancestors were and what a great history we truly possess. As a result, every visitor leaves here with a sense of pride.
Therefore, we must express our sincere gratitude to our Head of State for restoring our history and presenting the great heritage of our ancestors at such a high level.
If previously we had only partial knowledge of certain facts, after visiting this place we have gained a complete understanding. This is truly an invaluable treasure. We once again express our appreciation for such a unique center, which has few parallels in the world.
The visit to the Center led the representatives of the judiciary to such meaningful conclusions.
