It is noted that this forum, organized at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, serves as a prestigious international dialogue platform that brings together more than 300 scholars, experts, and diplomats from over 20 countries to study the Timurid heritage through a comprehensive scientific approach and promote it on a global scale.

In Uzbekistan, an international scientific conference has been opened to mark the 690th anniversary of Amir Temur’s birth.
According to Olaylar, the forum was organized at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The forum brought together more than 300 scholars, experts, diplomats, and representatives of the public from over 20 countries.
Participants include representatives of leading international organizations, research centers, universities, as well as museums and libraries, reflecting the growing global interest in the region’s historical and cultural heritage.
The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, sent a message of congratulations to the participants of the conference, which was read out by the President’s State Advisor — People’s Writer Khayriddin Sultanov. In his address, the head of state congratulated the participants on the opening of the forum, emphasized the significance of ongoing efforts to study and promote Amir Temur’s legacy, and described him as a great statesman, an outstanding military commander, and a patron of science, culture, and the arts.
“The holding of the conference at the Islamic Civilization Center is of particular importance, as this venue brings together unique examples of Uzbekistan’s millennia-old scientific and cultural heritage, creating a special opportunity for an in-depth analysis of the Timurid period as one of the brightest stages in the region’s history,” the President’s message states.
It also notes that in New Uzbekistan, large-scale efforts are being carried out to study and promote national history and cultural heritage, as well as to educate the younger generation in the spirit of universal values. In this regard, a decision has been made to hold thematic events dedicated to Amir Temur every year in April.
