A significant event of historical and cultural importance took place at the Islamic Civilization Center during a prestigious international conference. TURKSOY recognized the Islamic Civilization Center as the “Best Museum in the Turkic World.” The certificate was ceremonially presented by TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev. This recognition demonstrates that the Center has been highly appreciated on the international stage in a short period of time.

Additionally, on behalf of TURKSOY, the 100-volume book collection “Masterpieces of Turkic World Literature,” published on the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was also awarded a certificate. Such a large-scale publication has been implemented for the first time in the Turkic world and was recognized as the “Best Literary Project in the World.”

Today, on behalf of the international organization TURKSOY, we presented three certificates. Our first certificate was awarded to the 100-volume collection titled “Masterpieces of Turkic World Literature,” published on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It should be noted that such a comprehensive 100-volume publication has never been realized in the Turkic world before. This was, of course, a major initiative by Uzbekistan. Today, countries such as Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan are also supporting this initiative by publishing collections of 20, 30, 40, and 50 volumes. Therefore, we recognized this collection as a unique literary masterpiece of the Turkic world and awarded it the title of the “Best Literary Project in the World.” The second certificate was awarded to the Islamic Civilization Center in the nomination of “Best Museum in the Turkic World.” This can be regarded as a high recognition by TURKSOY. In addition, the museum has been admitted to the TURKSOY Association of Museums of the Turkic World, — said TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev.

Leading scholars from Turkey, France, Italy, Germany, the USA, the United Kingdom, Russia, China, India, Iran, and Kazakhstan participated in the conference. They presented their research findings on the history of the Timurid period, its political system, urban planning traditions, and the development of science and culture.

I believe that this recognition by TURKSOY is a worthy assessment of our Center, built on the initiative of our esteemed President. The International Organization of Turkic Culture — TURKSOY — is one of the Islamic Civilization Center’s permanent and reliable partners. We have been cooperating with this organization for a long time. This year, we have also agreed to jointly organize a number of events with TURKSOY, including an international youth forum and a festival of craftsmen from Turkic states, — said the Center’s Director, Firdavs Abdukhalikov.

Foreign participants also emphasized the global significance of the Timurid heritage, its role in cultural connections between European and Asian civilizations, and its importance in international academic cooperation.

The recognition of this Center and these publications as the best museum in the Turkic world and the best literary project in the world will remain in history as a major achievement in the cultural and spiritual development of Uzbekistan.
