A delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey visited the Islamic Civilization Center

The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan hosted another prestigious international delegation. The delegation, led by Sezai Uçarmak, Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, became closely acquainted with the Center’s activities, its scientific and educational directions, and its modern exhibitions.
During the visit, the guests highly appreciated the rich content created at the Center, its profound scientific approach, and the presentation of historical heritage through innovative technologies. In particular, the exhibitions covering the pre-Islamic period, the First and Second Renaissance, and the section “New Uzbekistan — the Foundation of a New Renaissance” sparked great interest among the delegation members.
As noted, the Center is not merely a traditional museum, but a modern space that encourages visitors to engage in interactive dialogue with history, enriching them intellectually and spiritually. Here, exhibits are not only displayed but are brought to life through multimedia, digital technologies, and visual solutions.
Sharing his impressions of the Center, Sezai Uçarmak specifically emphasized its essence:
“The aspect that interested me most was the section reflecting the achievements of Turkic peoples after their encounter with Islam. In particular, this stage leading up to the modern era is very impressive. It is rare to find such content and approach elsewhere.
In this regard, the way these processes are presented here — deep in content and clear in form — deserves special recognition. Overall, this Center stands out for its uniqueness. Especially, it clearly and impressively demonstrates how, after embracing Islam, Turks contributed to world civilization with a renewed spirit, and how they to some extent became a source for the Renaissance processes in the West.
At the same time, not only this Center, but the overall changes taking place in Uzbekistan are also noteworthy. I visit here once or twice a year, and each time I witness noticeable progress in various fields. This shows the results of highly significant cultural initiatives. It is appropriate to congratulate everyone who has contributed to these efforts.
Today, not only the Center, but Uzbekistan and its major cities are increasingly becoming important tourist destinations. In particular, the growing number of daily flights from Turkey to the country’s main cities indicates the rapid development of this process.
People are gradually discovering the history and culture of this land.”
The delegation representatives also emphasized the importance of the modern technologies applied at the Center, including multimedia systems and digital visualization capabilities. It was noted that visitors here feel not only like observers but as active participants in the process, gaining a deeper understanding of the exhibitions and experiencing a sense of immersion in the historical environment.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation highly praised the scientific, spiritual, and cultural significance of the Islamic Civilization Center, emphasizing that it is steadily strengthening its position not only in Uzbekistan but also as a prestigious scientific and educational center across the entire region.
