Employees of the internal affairs bodies are rediscovering history at the Center

22.04.2026, 21:101051

The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan has become an important educational platform for employees working within the internal affairs system. This visit was organized as part of a training seminar program launched on April 16, providing participants not only with enhanced theoretical knowledge but also with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of history and spirituality.

The pre-Islamic period exhibition held particular significance for the internal affairs officers. This section, which consistently presents developments from ancient times up to the 8th century CE, vividly conveyed human lifestyles through depictions of daily life, hunting scenes, and wall paintings. Findings related to early forms of statehood, the emergence of urban culture, trade routes, and monetary circulation — especially the display of ancient coins — sparked great interest among the participants. It was especially noted that the early stages of societal development were presented in a clear and impactful manner through modern technologies.

Artifacts displayed in the sections dedicated to the civilizations of Fergana, Bactria, Khorezm, and Chach clearly demonstrated the high level of ancient culture. In particular, images of winged horses, rare textile fragments, precious metal objects, and ceramic figurines enriched the visitors’ understanding. Historical perspectives on “heavenly horses,” trade relations, and ways of life further expanded the participants’ imagination.

The First Renaissance section broadly covered the rise of science and enlightenment. Rare jewelry from the Seljuk period, symbols of authority, and architectural models helped recreate the political and cultural environment of that era. The construction style, engineering solutions, and craftsmanship seen in the Chashmayi Ayub complex in Bukhara left a strong impression on the officers. The harmony between science and religion and their role in societal development were particularly evident here.

Gulom Isamov, Lieutenant Colonel of the Kashkadarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs:

“The First and Second Renaissance sections impressed me the most. Here one can see how highly our ancestors advanced in science, statehood, and spirituality. Witnessing such a heritage fills a person with a sense of pride.”

The “New Uzbekistan — Foundation of a New Renaissance” section highlighted the country’s current development and future strategy. The concept of statehood, governance culture, and modern reforms were presented as a unified vision, attracting considerable interest among the participants. Opportunities created for youth, their achievements, and forward-looking strategic plans were highly appreciated by representatives of the internal affairs bodies.

Participants also visited the heart of the Center — the Hall of the Holy Qur’an. The 4-minute mapping hologram left an unforgettable emotional impression on every visitor.

Jumanazarova Shakhnoza, Officer of the Kashkadarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs:

“It is difficult to describe the atmosphere in the Hall of the Holy Qur’an in words. The mapping hologram, the sacred manuscript, and the overall architecture deeply affect the human soul. Here, a person not only gains knowledge but also becomes spiritually enriched.”

The internal affairs officers also familiarized themselves with the activities of the Center’s library. The rare sources, manuscripts, scholarly literature, and modern research collected here generated great interest. In particular, the availability of resources on history, religion, statehood, and legal culture in one place was highly valued as an important academic base.

Oybek Burkhanov, Senior Lieutenant of the Kashkadarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs:

“It was absolutely the right decision to come here within the framework of the training seminar. The knowledge we gain here will also be useful in our professional activities. When a person is spiritually strong, they can perform their duties at a high level.”

At the end of the visit, a documentary film dedicated to the establishment of the Center, its concept, and activities was shown to the participants. Through this film, they gained a broader understanding of the history of the Center’s creation and its scientific and spiritual significance.

As noted by the delegation members, this visit served not only as a source of knowledge but also as a means of strengthening the spiritual foundation essential for their professional duties. The Center, in turn, appeared to them as a unique place that provides an opportunity to understand history, feel national values, and look toward the future from a new perspective.
