Examination assessments for guide-excursionists are being conducted at the Islamic Civilization Center
The training courses and seminars aimed at preparing guide-excursionists at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan have been successfully completed, and the decisive stage for participants — the examination process — is now underway.
Within this process, five-day examinations have been organized for selected candidates, during which their knowledge and practical skills are being comprehensively assessed. The exams are conducted in the form of oral interviews, with students from various higher education institutions evaluated individually.
During the examinations, particular attention is given to the candidates’ level of knowledge of the museum expositions of the Center, their ability to convey information clearly and effectively, speech culture, communication skills, and their ability to handle different situations.
Izzat Ibragimov, Deputy Director of the center for Information Technology issues:
“Today, high-quality guiding services have been established for visitors at the Islamic Civilization Center. In the first stage, around 30 guides were selected, and currently services are provided to visitors in several languages.
In the second stage, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, more than 100 students from various higher education institutions specializing in guiding and foreign languages were selected. They underwent training based on a two-week special program covering speech culture, ethics, museum expositions, and historical topics.”
To ensure fair and objective evaluation, a special jury panel has been formed by the Center. It includes experienced specialists such as Kamola Akilova, Rustam Jabbarov, Izzat Ibragimov, and other leading experts in the field.
Members of the jury are thoroughly analyzing the knowledge and skills acquired by participants during the training courses and seminars, providing an objective assessment of each candidate’s potential.
Gozal Inoyatova, a graduate of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies:
“The examination process is very responsible and interesting for me. Through the questions, not only our knowledge but also our ability to express ideas clearly and effectively is being tested. This process motivates us to work on ourselves and prepare even more thoroughly. For me, the most important aspect is being able to properly present our history to visitors in the future.”
Based on the results of these examinations, the most capable and highly qualified candidates are planned to be involved in providing professional guiding services to visitors at the museum expositions of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
This stage is the most important and responsible part of the guide training process and serves to form a team of highly qualified, knowledgeable, and modern-standard excursionists at the Center.
