The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan participated in “Career Day”

A “Career Day” event bringing together students and employers was held in Tashkent. The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan also took part. This time, the meeting went beyond simply presenting job vacancies — it became a platform helping young people shape their future paths.

The event was organized at the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan. More than 80 public and private organizations participated, offering students job opportunities, internship programs, and prospects for cooperation.

Representatives of the Center engaged directly with students, providing information about research activities, media projects, and practical training programs. They promoted initiatives aimed not only at employment, but also at developing students’ professional potential.

This demonstrates that the Center is moving beyond the scope of a traditional museum or cultural institution, becoming an important partner in training specialists in academic and media fields. The university leadership also highly values this cooperation.

According to Ravshan Rayimjonov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at the university, collaboration with the Center is opening new opportunities for students:

“We have established a memorandum of cooperation with this Center. In the future, we plan to organize student internships there, as well as implement new initiatives in cooperation with UNESCO and in the media field.”

As part of the event, students had the opportunity to connect not only with the Center but also with other major organizations, including retail chains, banks, and social institutions.

Experts note that such events play an important role in preparing young people for the labor market. They provide students with opportunities to develop practical skills and engage in direct communication with employers.

According to official data, 968 students are graduating from the university this year. Currently, 64 percent of them are employed, and there is a goal to increase this figure to 95–96 percent.

In this process, expanding cooperation with employers is of decisive importance. “Career Day” is one of the key elements of this effort.

One thing is clear: such meetings are not only about finding a job, but also about shaping the future.
