Young people who understand their history are the builders of the future
At the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, educational and spiritual excursions for students of higher education institutions across the country are continuing. During the latest visit, students from Nukus State Technical University became closely acquainted with the Center’s activities, rare exhibits, manuscripts, and advanced interactive technologies.
During the visit, Kongratbay Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, spoke about the significance of the Center and emphasized that it is not merely a museum, but a major educational space that nurtures young people in the spirit of science, spirituality, and patriotism.
“The Islamic Civilization Center is currently one of the largest museums in Central Asia. Its primary mission is to demonstrate the contribution of Islamic scholars and the great thinkers who lived and created on this land to the development of world civilization and science. Here, historical processes are presented through a unified concept, spanning from the pre-Islamic period to the First, Second, and Third Renaissance eras,” the Minister said.
The Minister also noted that student visits to the Center are being organized according to a scheduled plan, emphasizing that the main purpose of this initiative is to introduce young people more closely to their history and the legacy of their ancestors.
“We began with students from remote regions. Today, students from the Republic of Karakalpakstan are visiting the Center, and in the coming weeks students from other universities will also participate. Our goal is for young people to share the knowledge they gain here with their peers in their home regions and to help them understand the greatness of our nation’s history and civilization. The educational and spiritual significance of this initiative is immense,” said Kongratbay Sharipov.
The students also shared their impressions of the Center. Dilfuza Xallilayeva described the Center as an educational bridge connecting the past and the future.
“Here, we saw historical artifacts, manuscripts related to Islam, and modern technologies powered by artificial intelligence. The fact that many of the exhibits are original pieces made a strong impression on us. This clearly demonstrates the high level of attention being paid in our country to the preservation of Islamic civilization heritage.
The section that impressed me the most was the First Renaissance Hall, where the history of Uzbekistan is presented in a broad and captivating way. It felt as though we were witnessing history with our own eyes. The information and exhibits here will serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for our future endeavors,” she said.
The students also paid special attention to the extensive use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence throughout the Center.
“First of all, we would like to express our gratitude to our President for initiating the construction of such a magnificent Center. The constant attention given to young people is the reason we have the opportunity to be here today. As we toured the Center, artificial intelligence provided us with more detailed and realistic information about historical exhibits. This helps visitors gain a deeper understanding of history and remember it more effectively,” said Salima Ispirganova.
During the excursion, the students expressed their appreciation for the opportunities being created for young people in Uzbekistan, particularly the strong emphasis placed on studying historical heritage and spiritual education.
These educational tours are helping the younger generation develop a stronger sense of national identity, study the legacy of their great ancestors, and deepen their sense of responsibility for the country’s future development.
At the conclusion of the excursion, Firdavs Abdukhalikov met with the students. During the meeting, he spoke about the attention being given to youth in Uzbekistan, as well as the reforms being implemented in the fields of science and spirituality. He emphasized that the Center, established at the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, stands as a symbol of the progress of New Uzbekistan.
“This Center, built at the initiative of our esteemed President, is intended to help you gain knowledge, understand your history, and become a generation worthy of your great ancestors. The future belongs to you. We expect new ideas, new inventions, and further progress from you. Together with knowledgeable, proactive, and patriotic young people like you, we will build a New Uzbekistan,” said Firdavs Abdukhalikov.
