The Malaysian delegation became closely acquainted with the activities of the Islamic Civilization Center

The visit of the Malaysian delegation to the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan is continuing. As part of the visit, the guests toured all of the Center’s exhibition halls and became closely acquainted with rare manuscripts, historical artifacts, and modern interactive technologies.

Dr. Mohd Hilmi Ramli, Director of the Raja Zarith Sofiah Centre for Advanced Studies on Islam, Science and Civilization at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, highly praised the activities of the Center.

“This Center in Uzbekistan is a truly magnificent and intellectually rich institution. Here, the heritage of Islamic civilization is not only preserved, but also widely promoted through modern technologies. Through the museum exhibitions, we do not simply see history — we experience it,” said Dr. Mohd Hilmi Ramli.

During the tour, the guests explored exhibitions dedicated to the pre-Islamic period, the First and Second Renaissance periods, as well as the legacy of great scholars.

Dr. Mohd Asri bin Zainul Abidin, Mufti of the Malaysian state of Perlis, also shared his impressions of the Center.

“Seeing here the legacy of such great scholars as Imam al-Bukhari, Imam al-Tirmidhi, and al-Maturidi left a profound impression on me. This Center is a true source of inspiration for the younger generation,” he said.

For reference, on May 5 of this year, the Islamic Civilization Center hosted an international conference in cooperation with Malaysia under the theme “Scientific Tradition in Islamic Civilization: Resources, Potentials, and Challenges.” Nearly 300 scholars from Malaysia, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye took part in the event, where they discussed contemporary approaches to studying and promoting the heritage of Islamic civilization.
