International Table Tennis Federation President Petra Sörling visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and noted that the Center not only preserves history and traditions, but also presents them to the younger generation in an engaging and impactful way through modern technologies. She also emphasized that the Center, established on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, serves as an important spiritual institution reflecting the country’s history and national pride.

During her visit to the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, Petra Sörling highlighted that the modern and interactive environment created at the Center left a strong impression on her. She also spoke positively about the growing attention being given to sports in Uzbekistan and the opportunities being created for young athletes.

— I was deeply impressed to see how history is being honored here while interactive opportunities are also being created for the younger generation. The Center not only introduces visitors to history, but also allows them to truly feel it. The interactive exhibitions here will become a great source of inspiration for future generations. It is truly inspiring to see a head of state presenting the history of his people in such a grand and impactful way. This awakens a sense of pride in people for their history and culture. One of the aspects that interested me the most was the process of the formation of historical cities and societies, as well as the constructive development processes taking place in today’s New Uzbekistan. What I saw here left a genuinely inspiring impression on me.

I am following the development of table tennis in Uzbekistan with great interest. In recent years, strong results have been achieved in international competitions. I believe that the attention and investment being directed toward sports in the country will lead to even greater achievements in the future. I would like to see table tennis continue to develop further in Uzbekistan, and I am ready to support this process.
