The Secretary General of the OSCE described the Islamic Civilization Center as the result of an unparalleled initiative

Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu stated that the impressions he received during his visit to the Islamic Civilization Center — an authorial project initiated by Shavkat Mirziyoyev — will remain in his memory for a long time.

As part of the delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan, the OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu and his delegation closely familiarized themselves with the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to the Center’s core concept, architectural design, exhibitions, and scientific and educational significance. The Center was established on the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The delegation members first toured the “Gallery of Great Figures” and the magnificent arches located in the Center’s main foyer. The exhibitions, which reflect the history of Uzbekistan, traditions of statehood, and the development of civilization through a combination of artistic interpretation and modern technology, attracted great interest from the guests.

The OSCE delegation also visited the conference hall designed for international forums, scholarly dialogue, and prestigious events held at the Center. The hall’s architecture, technical capabilities, and overall atmosphere left a strong impression on the visitors.

Feridun Sinirlioğlu highly praised the atmosphere created at the Center, the rich content of its exhibitions, and the modern approach used to present historical heritage.

“This is truly a very impressive place. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for this unparalleled initiative. The impressions I gained from today’s visit will remain in my heart for a long time. Here, I learned a great deal of new information about the shared civilization of humanity and its rich cultural heritage. Every section of the exhibition has been organized beautifully and meaningfully. Each one left a profound and unforgettable impression on me,” said Feridun Sinirlioğlu.
