Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus: “Not just a symbol, but a model”
A delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Shuleiko visited the Islamic Civilization Center as part of their trip to Uzbekistan.
The guests particularly emphasized that the environment created at the Center serves as a comprehensive educational space reflecting the country’s history and civilization. According to the delegation members, such complexes play an important role in shaping the historical memory and statehood consciousness of the younger generation.
“I would like to emphasize that knowing one’s own history and statehood is one of the most important foundations of statehood in modern society. In this regard, this fundamental historical site established under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev — as a museum, exhibition complex, and educational center reflecting the history of modern Uzbekistan — is an extremely significant step in demonstrating to the population, the citizens of the country, and especially the younger generation, the stages of your nation’s formation, development, and emergence as a modern state. In my opinion, this carries not only symbolic significance, but also serves as a unique model for countries around the world in their future development. One can clearly feel the distinct style and spirit of the state that built this museum.”
