Within a short period of time, the Islamic Civilization Center, which has become a new and highly significant symbol of Uzbekistan and has been included in the Guinness World Records, is being recognized by the international community as a successful initiative. Representatives of the Pakistani delegation visiting Uzbekistan as part of the Termez Dialogue on Connectivity between Central and South Asia, including the Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, Asad Majeed Khan, praised the initiatives that have been implemented in the country in recent years.
Asad Majeed Khan, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization:
“As the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, I am pleased to be visiting your country. I can say that our two countries and peoples share a great deal in common. We are united by a shared history. For example, Babur, the founder of the Baburid Empire, originated from the land of Uzbekistan.
From this perspective, I can say that Uzbekistan holds a very important place within our organization. We highly appreciate Uzbekistan’s contributions and consistently welcome the important and effective initiatives put forward in recent years, particularly by the esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. These initiatives play a significant role in strengthening and advancing our organization”.
