A new focal point of cultural diplomacy: U.S. state department representatives visit the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan

A delegation led by Sarah Rogers, Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy at the U.S. Department of State, visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to the ongoing construction and exhibition work at the Center, as well as projects aimed at widely promoting the centuries-old historical and cultural heritage of the Uzbek people and the significant contributions of Islamic civilization to global development.

Members of the delegation particularly noted that the Center’s exhibitions showcase the rich legacy of our ancestors in the fields of science, culture, statehood, and spirituality through the use of modern technologies. They highly praised the exhibitions for their rich content, strong academic foundation, and integration with advanced multimedia solutions.

During the visit, the guests received detailed information about the Center’s core concept and its role in studying and presenting the history of Uzbekistan and world civilizations to a broad audience.

The delegation members highly appreciated the Center’s efforts in promoting Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage, the scholarly legacy of great thinkers, and their contributions to the development of Islamic civilization on the international stage.

At the conclusion of the visit, the guests commended the large-scale initiatives being undertaken in Uzbekistan to preserve, study, and pass on historical heritage to future generations, and wished continued success to the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
