Having visited numerous museums and cultural centers around the world, the head of one of Jordan’s leading industrial companies encountered unexpected impressions at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. Unique exhibitions reflecting the history of Uzbekistan across millennia, advanced digital technologies, and the legacy of great scholars deeply impressed the distinguished guest. According to him, the contribution of Islamic civilization to human progress is presented here in a highly compelling and comprehensive manner.

Mohammad Thneibat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Phosphate Mines, one of the largest industrial enterprises in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.

During his tour of the Center’s exhibitions, he showed particular interest in the rare manuscripts, digitization processes, modern interactive solutions, and research activities. The “Gallery of Great Figures” in the Center’s foyer left a profound impression on him. The artistic compositions created from 110 shades of micro-mosaic stones and arranged within 14 semi-oval arches surrounding the foyer present the heritage of the First and Second Renaissances, great scholars, statesmen, and Jadid reformers as a unified historical panorama.

Sharing his impressions, Mohammad Thneibat described Uzbekistan as a land that has made an immense contribution to the development of Islam, science, and enlightenment.

“I have visited museums in many countries around the world. However, here I witnessed a remarkably systematic and impressive presentation of the history of the Uzbek people, from ancient times to the present day, as well as their contribution to the development of Islamic civilization. Establishing such a center is no easy task. The exhibitions comprehensively cover the pre-Islamic period, the Islamic era, and the historical developments that followed. The Center provides a deep understanding of the Uzbek people's contribution to Islamic history, literature, and science,” he said.

According to him, information about historic cities such as Samarkand and Bukhara, the legacy of Imam Bukhari, and the achievements of great scholars such as Ibn Sina, Biruni, and others clearly demonstrates Uzbekistan’s important role not only in the region but also in the broader development of Islamic civilization.
