International economic dialogue in Tashkent continues with the discovery of Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage

While the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum serves as a platform for economic cooperation, visits to the Islamic Civilization Center within the framework of the forum demonstrate that relations between countries extend far beyond economic engagement. As part of the ongoing international dialogue, foreign guests gathered in Uzbekistan are visiting the Islamic Civilization Center in Tashkent — established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev as a symbol of enlightenment against ignorance — and are discovering the country’s rich cultural heritage with great admiration.

Within the framework of the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, a delegation led by Wang Hongzhi, Head of the National Energy Administration of the People’s Republic of China, visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, a landmark institution established at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan and widely recognized on the international stage.

During the visit, the guests learned through the Center’s exhibitions about the immense contributions of the great scholars and thinkers who emerged from the land of Uzbekistan to the advancement of world science, the role of Islamic civilization in human development, and the country’s unique manuscript heritage.

Particular interest was shown in the sacred Qur’anic manuscripts, exhibitions dedicated to scientific heritage, and the innovative use of modern multimedia technologies to present historical events and realities.

The delegation members especially noted that the exhibitions clearly demonstrate how the territory of present-day Uzbekistan has long been one of the world’s centers of science, enlightenment, and intercivilizational dialogue.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation highly praised the Center’s efforts to preserve, study, and promote historical heritage through the use of modern technologies, making it accessible to a wide audience.
