Sometimes, when you enter a building, you are not simply visiting a museum. Instead, you come face to face with the memory of an entire nation, its intellectual heritage, and its aspirations for the future. During a visit to the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, a delegation led by Mohammed Abdullah, Chief Business Development Officer of Bahrain’s Lamar Holding, showed particular interest in the Gallery of Great Figures, where they explored the lives and achievements of distinguished figures who made outstanding contributions to science, statecraft, and enlightenment, as well as innovative methods of presenting history through artificial intelligence technologies.

According to Mohammed Abdullah, he had heard much about the Center before his visit. However, what he experienced far exceeded his expectations. In his view, the Center’s greatest strength lies not only in the richness of its collections but also in its ability to inspire visitors to learn, explore, and discover new knowledge. He also praised the spiritual and educational reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan.

“It is difficult to describe this place in words. It must be experienced in person. Here, history is not merely preserved — it speaks to people. Interactive exhibits, digital technologies, and rare artifacts bring the past to life, making it accessible and meaningful for today’s generation. I learned about several civilizations I had never known before. A person never stops learning throughout life, and this Center truly encourages that journey. It reminded me once again that understanding history is the key to building the future. In my view, a nation’s great future depends on how well it preserves its historical memory. I witnessed that commitment here in Uzbekistan, and it gave me great confidence in the country’s promising future. The efforts of the President to build the Third Renaissance further strengthen that confidence. I wish every success to these noble initiatives. A nation that preserves its past can build a strong future. This Center is a cultural and intellectual landmark worthy of pride not only for Uzbekistan but for the entire Islamic world,” he said.
