The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Center, organized a spiritual and educational event attended by 120 imams and khatibs from Margilan, Navoi, Namangan, and Tashkent.

As part of the program, the guests first toured the museum exhibitions of the Islamic Civilization Center, established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. They also explored the Center’s scientific and educational platforms dedicated to the study and research of Islamic civilization, which left a lasting impression on the participants.

During the event, participants actively engaged in discussions on the spiritual and educational reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, the vision of the Third Renaissance, and ongoing efforts to preserve and scientifically study the nation’s religious and cultural heritage.

According to Shavkat Botirov, Chief Imam-Khatib of Dangara district in the Fergana region, the modern facilities created at the Center play an important role in the in-depth study and broad promotion of the nation's religious and cultural heritage.

“Visiting this Center and witnessing the extensive opportunities created here allowed us to once again appreciate the great attention our country is giving to science and spirituality. Learning about the legacy of our great scholars and gaining additional insights into their lives and academic contributions through digital technologies left a profound impression on us. Everything we have seen here inspires us to study our history and rich scholarly heritage even more deeply,” he said.

As part of the visit, the guests also toured the Center’s modern library. They were introduced to its facilities, the collection of rare sources, the library’s book access system, and the digital services available to readers.

According to Adhamkhon Abdurahmonov, Imam of the “Kichik Khoja Vali” Juma Mosque in Pop district, Namangan region, the Center’s library provides a modern and comfortable academic environment for all readers.

“I was truly impressed by the Center’s library. It offers excellent opportunities for readers of all ages. In particular, young people have free access to books, a peaceful environment for reading, and the ability to make effective use of digital technologies. Institutions like this play a vital role in fostering a greater interest in knowledge and learning,” he said.

At the conclusion of the event, participants emphasized that the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, with its rich academic environment, outstanding museum exhibitions, modern library, and collection of rare manuscripts, plays a significant role in the study, preservation, and transmission of the nation’s religious and cultural heritage to future generations.
