On the occasion of Youth Day on 30 June, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with proactive and accomplished young people who have achieved notable success across various sectors of the country. Held in a warm and open atmosphere, the meeting focused on the key responsibilities of young people in building the New Uzbekistan, with particular emphasis on science, innovation, entrepreneurship, patriotism, and the development of human capital.

Speaking about the immense scientific and spiritual legacy left by Uzbekistan’s great ancestors, the President addressed the youth:

“I know that each and every one of our young men and women possesses tremendous potential, talent, and ability. You are the worthy successors of our great ancestors, whose remarkable discoveries made an invaluable contribution to world civilization and who became the ‘guiding light of reason’ during the First and Second Renaissances. However, being a successor is not only a matter of pride it is also a great responsibility. Just as our ancestors made extraordinary contributions to the progress of humanity, you must become the force that lays the foundation for a new era of national awakening the Third Renaissance in the New Uzbekistan.”

As a practical continuation of the ideas expressed during the presidential meeting, a group of active and initiative-driven young people visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.

At the Center, the guests explored exhibitions reflecting the three-thousand-year history of Uzbek statehood. Modern multimedia technologies, rare manuscripts, ancient copies of the Holy Qur’an, archaeological discoveries, and interactive displays generated great interest among the participants.

The visitors noted that the ideas voiced by the President gained even deeper meaning through their experience at the Center.

Asal Ziyodova, recipient of the “Kelajak bunyodkori” (Builder of the Future) state award and Director of the Children’s Academy private school, shared her impressions:

“This is my second visit, yet every time I come here, I feel as amazed as I did the first time. The exhibitions have been created with such care and modern vision that you do not simply study history you feel as though you are living within it. Today, our President spoke about becoming worthy successors of our ancestors. After visiting this Center, we feel that responsibility even more deeply.”

Daler Rahimov, recipient of the “Mard O‘g‘lon” State Award, emphasized that the Center’s exhibitions provide young people with profound inspiration and motivation.

“The Center embodies the entire history of Uzbekistan, the lives of our great scholars, and their contributions to the advancement of humanity. Our President has entrusted us with the mission of building the foundation of the Third Renaissance. Every exhibition here helps us understand the significance of that responsibility more deeply.”

Professional model Nigina Fakhriddinova also highlighted the Center’s unique role in strengthening young people's historical awareness.

“Today, during the meeting, our President spoke about patriotism, understanding our history, and becoming worthy heirs to our ancestors. I believe that is precisely why we were brought to the Islamic Civilization Center. It brings together thousands of years of our nation's history, the legacy of our great scholars, our culture, and our civilization. Every exhibit encourages reflection and inspires visitors. It is difficult to describe in words it must be experienced in person. A person who knows their history can confidently build the future.”

Ozoda Yunusova, recipient of the “Kelajak bunyodkori” (Builder of the Future)  state award and a specialist at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, also shared her impressions:

“This is my first visit, and the atmosphere here is truly unique. Today, our President emphasized that we should not only take pride in our great ancestors but also strive to be worthy of them. I believe that every young person who visits this Center comes away with an even stronger sense of that responsibility.”

During the visit, the participants also learned about the Center’s scientific and educational opportunities, the innovative technologies used throughout its exhibitions, and its approach to presenting the country’s rich cultural heritage through modern digital solutions.

The ideas presented during the President’s meeting and this visit to the Islamic Civilization Center complemented one another in both spirit and purpose. The ambitious goals set before the youth during the meeting were reinforced by the Center’s presentation of centuries of scientific and cultural heritage, strengthening the participants’ determination to become worthy successors of their great ancestors and to contribute with even greater dedication to building the foundations of the Third Renaissance in the New Uzbekistan.
