International forum in Tashkent draws attention from Egypt’s leading newspaper
A special article on the First International Islamic Civilization Forum taking place in Uzbekistan has been published by Egypt’s leading newspaper, Al-Jumhuriya. The publication describes the forum, held in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Termez, as an important international platform for dialogue dedicated to promoting the values of peace, tolerance, and enlightenment.
The newspaper highlights the participation of distinguished scholars, intellectuals, and religious leaders from various countries. It also notes that Egypt is represented by the Ministers of Culture, Awqaf, and Higher Education, the Grand Mufti of the Republic, senior representatives of Al-Azhar, and leading experts in Islamic education and fatwa. According to Mansurbek Kilichev, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Egypt, the forum will further strengthen intellectual, academic, and cultural cooperation across the Islamic world. He also emphasized that the participation of prestigious institutions such as Al-Azhar and the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta is of great importance in enhancing international cooperation to combat extremism through education and enlightenment.
The article further notes that the forum’s agenda includes discussions on preserving Islamic heritage, advancing religious education, protecting and digitizing manuscripts, and developing joint projects for the training of imams and researchers.
Al-Jumhuriya describes the forum as one of the largest academic and educational gatherings in Central Asia, emphasizing its role in expanding humanitarian cooperation, strengthening dialogue among civilizations, and promoting the Islamic values of peace, enlightenment, and tolerance on the international stage.
