Joint Secretary Dinesh Kumar of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of India visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. During his tour of the Center, the guest noted that he was particularly impressed by the Uthman Mushaf, describing it as one of the most unique and unforgettable heritage treasures on display.

During the visit, Joint Secretary Dinesh Kumar explored the museum’s extensive exhibitions in detail. With great interest, he viewed the galleries dedicated to pre-Islamic civilization, the stages of development of Islamic civilization, the First and Second Renaissance periods, the lives and scholarly heritage of great scholars, rare manuscripts, and interactive exhibitions created using modern digital technologies.

The guest highly praised the way the exhibitions bring historical heritage to life in a vivid and engaging manner through modern museological solutions. He noted that each gallery is seamlessly interconnected, enabling visitors to gain a comprehensive understanding of the history of civilization in Uzbekistan and the wider region.

Joint Secretary Dinesh Kumar said:

“This is truly an extraordinary place. My delegation and I were deeply impressed by our visit. I was particularly struck by the Center’s architectural design, the exceptionally high standard of its exhibitions, and the coherent and compelling presentation of history from the pre-Islamic period to the present day. The way history is brought to life through modern technologies is especially commendable. Each exhibition here allows visitors not only to see the past, but also to experience it on a deeper level.

The Uthman Mushaf that was shown to us is an extraordinarily rare heritage treasure that is beyond words. It was the most impressive exhibit for me, and I will remember it for the rest of my life.

Every tourist visiting Uzbekistan should definitely see this place. When we return to India, we will also recommend that our friends and colleagues visit the Center.”

At the conclusion of his visit, Joint Secretary Dinesh Kumar emphasized that the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan is an internationally significant scholarly and educational institution that presents the country’s centuries-old historical and spiritual heritage in harmony with modern technologies.
