As part of initiatives aimed at bringing the concept of the Third Renaissance to life in Uzbekistan, promoting the in-depth study of national and religious heritage, and expanding spiritual and educational knowledge, imam-khatibs from Fergana, Kashkadarya, and other regions visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. They explored the Center’s museum exhibitions, rare manuscripts, sections dedicated to the Renaissance periods, and modern interactive solutions, describing the Center as an important national platform that brings together scholarship, education, and spirituality.

Rahmatulloh G‘oyibnazarov, Imam-Khatib of the “Katta Mahalla” Mosque in Buvayda District, Fergana Region, described the Center, established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as an important center of enlightenment for the younger generation.

“We were deeply impressed by the exhibitions devoted to the First and Second Renaissance periods, the scholarly legacy left by our great thinkers, and the development of our country. Everyone who visits this place gains a deeper understanding of their history, while young people are further inspired to pursue knowledge and develop a stronger sense of patriotism. We consider it our duty to share the knowledge and impressions we have gained here with our people,” he said.

Otabek Xolmurodov, Chief Imam-Khatib of Qo‘shtepa District, Fergana Region, and Imam-Khatib of the “Muborak” Jame Mosque, highlighted the facilities created for academic research at the Center’s library.

According to him, the availability of an electronic book collection, literature in Braille, dedicated research rooms, and rare sources all in one place has transformed the Center into not only a museum but also a comprehensive academic resource center.

“This library is truly a center of knowledge for those engaged in academic research. The facilities created here encourage scholars to pursue even deeper research. We will certainly promote these opportunities among our young people,” he said.

Ahmadxon Nizomov, Chief Imam-Khatib of Bag‘dod District, Fergana Region, focused particularly on the Center’s academic concept.

In his view, each exhibition is underpinned by extensive research and scholarly inquiry, while the interactive environment transforms visitors from mere observers into active learners and explorers.

“It is difficult to fully grasp everything in a single visit. Each exhibition reflects a tremendous amount of scholarly work. In particular, the legacy of our great scholars, the research centers, and the interactive opportunities encourage visitors to explore these subjects more deeply. This Center is an immense spiritual and intellectual treasure for future generations and an important foundation for advancing science and scholarship in New Uzbekistan,” he said.

At the conclusion of the visit, the participants noted that promoting the rich scholarly and cultural heritage preserved at the Center, its digital exhibitions, and educational opportunities among the wider public, particularly young people, would contribute to bringing the ideas of the Third Renaissance to life, strengthening national identity, and fostering greater interest in scholarly heritage.
