Uzbekistan’s historical and modern development presented to foreign parliamentarians

Uzbekistan’s historical and modern development presented to foreign parliamentarians

Osman Mesten, Chairman of the Türkiye–Uzbekistan Interparliamentary Friendship Group and Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, described the Center as an important cultural institution not only for Uzbekistan but for the entire Turkic world.

“As we explored the Islamic Civilization Center, we once again realized just how profound Uzbekistan’s history is and how rich its cultural heritage is. I have closely followed the construction of this project, and today we witnessed that it is truly establishing itself as a world-class museum. The realization of such a monumental project reflects great vision, capacity, and long-term foresight. Above all, it is the result of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s initiative, firm determination, and exceptional attention to the project. Built under his direct guidance and with his close attention, the Center is now revealing its true character.

In my view, this is an important museum not only for Uzbekistan but for the entire Turkic world, because here we saw our shared history. We witnessed how beautifully and impressively our common cultural roots are presented to the entire world. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who contributed to this tremendous undertaking, especially the statesmen, artists, and architects who worked to bring this project to life under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

One of the most important aspects of the Center is that it not only presents the history and culture of Uzbekistan. It also tells the story of today’s rapidly transforming Uzbekistan and its future. I recommend that people from around the world visit Uzbekistan and see for themselves its profound history, rich culture, and contemporary development. Every city, every corner, and every village of Uzbekistan is worth seeing,” he said.

Ozar Amiraslanov, Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan:

“The very initiative to establish such a center is itself a testament to the strength of the state. It demonstrates the potential of the Uzbek people and the Republic of Uzbekistan. At the Center, rich cultural and religious heritage is combined with modern technologies, presenting history to the younger generation in an engaging and accessible way. Islamic values are also showcased at a high level. I believe this is of great significance for all Muslims and Turkic peoples. The Center is truly a ‘monumental project.’ Institutions like this not only preserve historical memory but also encourage young people to reflect on their roots and their spiritual and moral values.”

Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sayyara Imamova emphasized that the Center’s key strength lies in presenting history to the new generation through modern technologies.

“The establishment of the Islamic Civilization Center embodies, above all, the firm determination, far-sighted vision, and years of tremendous effort of the President of our country. Today, after years of painstaking work, we can see the tangible result of this noble endeavor.

At the Islamic Civilization Center, in just two hours, visitors can explore the entire history of Uzbekistan, its present, and even its future. Most importantly, this history is presented to the modern generation in a language they understand. Through artificial intelligence, advanced information technologies, and interactive features, our great ancestors seem to speak once again, while their scientific and intellectual legacy engages in a dialogue with today’s generation.

You experience an entirely different feeling when you enter the New Uzbekistan Hall. As someone born and raised in this land, you feel a profound sense of pride. There, Uzbekistan’s 35-year path of development, its current reforms, and its goals for the future can be seen, understood, and experienced as a single continuous process. Here, history truly speaks.

As a representative of the legislative sphere, I would also like to emphasize another important aspect. The Center consistently presents the historical roots of statehood and legislation, as well as the development of our modern legal system, including the processes leading up to the adoption of the revised Constitution in 2023. By Islamic enlightenment, we mean, first and foremost, an enlightenment that calls people toward friendship, compassion, solidarity, and goodness. From this perspective, Uzbekistan’s 35-year path of development has not been limited to economic or social reforms. It has also been accompanied by spiritual and intellectual renewal. The Center reveals the essence and significance of these processes as well.

It is particularly gratifying to witness how deeply impressed foreign visitors are when they see the Center. Many guests have expressed a desire to begin their visit to Uzbekistan right here. This demonstrates the level of international recognition and significance the Center has attained. The fact that the Center was entered into the Guinness World Records not long after its establishment is also a source of great pride for us. All these achievements embody the firm determination, initiative, and direct leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Today, we are witnessing the results of these efforts with our own eyes,” the deputy said.
