CNN and Euronews became the main media partners of the “Islamic Civilization: A New Perspective — New Discoveries” media forum
Representatives of CNN and Euronews will participate in the International Media Forum “Islamic Civilization: A New Perspective — New Discoveries,” which will be held in Tashkent and Samarkand from August 24 to 28.
On August 25, Claus Strunz, CEO and Editorial Director of Euronews, will deliver a special address at the media forum titled “A new partnership: connecting Europe and Central Asia through culture, media and ideas — the Islamic civilization center in the global information space.”
CNN representative Paula Hancocks will serve as one of the moderators of the media forum’s plenary sessions. The forum is also expected to feature a special video address by Phil Nelson, Executive Vice President of CNN International Commercial.
Imran Ahmad, Regional Representative of CNN International Commercial, will deliver a special presentation titled “CNN discovers Uzbekistan: when the heritage of Islamic civilization takes center stage” as part of the plenary session “The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan — a new focal point for a great heritage.”
The forum program includes presentations and discussions on ways to showcase historical and cultural heritage in the international media landscape through modern formats.
The main venue of the forum will be the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. The event will bring together 300 representatives of the media and expert community from nearly 50 countries, including executives of media companies, news agencies and television channels, journalists, producers, scholars, and creative industry professionals.
