20 higher education institutions in Uzbekistan will become venues for the international media forum

The university program of the International Media Forum “Islamic Civilization: New Perspective — New Discoveries” will cover 20 higher education institutions across Uzbekistan.

From August 24 to 27, 34 creative meetings, master classes, and presentations will be held at higher education institutions in Tashkent and Samarkand. The main part of the program will take place in the capital, involving 19 universities in Tashkent. Another venue will be the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand.

Media representatives from at least 10 countries will participate in the university program. The meetings will cover contemporary journalism and international media, artificial intelligence and digital technologies, documentary filmmaking, publishing, cultural diplomacy, historical heritage, and tourism.

The program is primarily aimed at facilitating direct dialogue between international experts and students, professors, and faculty members. This format will make it possible to engage dozens of university venues simultaneously and extend the Media Forum’s professional program beyond its main events.

The central venue of the International Media Forum, to be held on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, will be the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.

The Forum will bring together 300 representatives of the media and expert community from nearly 50 countries, including executives of media companies, news agencies and television channels, representatives of international publications and digital platforms, as well as experts and professionals from the creative industries.
