The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan announces the admission of applications for independent research (PhD and DSc) for the first quarter of 2027
Applications will be accepted through the Unified Electronic System for Coordinating Postgraduate Education (daraja.ilmiy.uz) or the Unified Interactive Public Services Portal from September 15 to October 15, 2026.
Independent research is available in the following specialization:
24.00.01 – Islamic History and Source Studies.
Applicants for independent research (PhD) must submit the following documents:
1. A brief biographical statement.
2. If the relevant information is not integrated into the electronic system — a copy of a Master’s degree diploma issued by a higher education institution, a certificate of completion of clinical residency (for medical sciences), or a diploma of higher education (for specialist degree programs)*.
3. Copies of published academic works (at least 1 article and 2 conference abstracts).
Applicants for independent research (DSc) must submit the following documents:
1. A brief biographical statement.
2. A copy of a diploma confirming higher education and the award of the Candidate of Sciences degree, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree, or an equivalent academic degree obtained in a foreign country*.
3. Copies of published academic works (at least 3 articles and 2 conference abstracts).
All documents must be prepared in PDF format and submitted after registration through the Unified Electronic System for Coordinating Postgraduate Education (http://daraja.ilmiy.uz) or the Unified Interactive Public Services Portal.
* Documents confirming education obtained in foreign countries must be uploaded together with a certificate of official recognition.
