“This was created not only for today, but for future generations”: Thai guest on the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan

A delegation led by Mr. Buri Srina, General Director of the Russian representative office of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) of the Kingdom of Thailand, visited the Center and became closely acquainted with its exhibitions, historical artifacts, and museum concept developed using modern technologies.

The guests learned about the centuries-old history of Central Asia, the development of science and culture, the legacy of great scholars, and the enduring interconnectedness of civilizations through the Center’s exhibitions.

Sharing his impressions of the Center, Mr. Buri Srina emphasized that one of its distinctive features is the coherent and comprehensive presentation of history:

“We gained a very deep understanding of the Center. The exhibitions here sparked great interest in us. The Center embodies an exceptionally long and rich history. We had never seen a place like this before.

Here, history can be followed step by step. Events, developments, and transformations from ancient times to the present day are presented in an interconnected way, as a single, coherent historical narrative.

Most impressively, the past, present, and future are brought together here in harmony. Each historical period is logically connected to the next stage. In this sense, the exhibitions at the Center speak not only about history and development, but also about the future.”

The guest highly praised the significance of the Center not only as a place for preserving and presenting historical heritage, but also as an educational space created for future generations.

“It is clear that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, with deep concern for the future of the country and its people, has brought such a major initiative to life. This is a truly remarkable and commendable achievement.

Future generations will be able to come here and learn what their ancestors accomplished and how rich and extensive the history of their country is. Most importantly, they will be able to draw lessons from this history for the future.

In my view, this was not created only for today. It was created as an enduring value. Everyone who comes here can learn, understand history, and reflect on their own identity.

Here, a person can ask themselves, ‘Who am I? Where do we come from?’ and find answers to these questions. In this sense, the importance of the Center is truly immense.

Your country is certainly fortunate to have such a President,” said Mr. Buri Srina.
