During his visit to the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh, Minister of Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran, drew particular attention to this distinctive feature of the Center.
He noted that the Center extensively presents the rich history of Uzbekistan and Central Asia, the role of Islamic civilization in the region’s development, its values rooted in enlightenment, spirituality, and constructive endeavor, as well as the legacy of great scholars.
Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh highly praised the scale and substance of the work carried out at the Center and acknowledged the efforts of the specialists involved in its creation:
“Today, I had the honor of visiting this remarkable complex built in Uzbekistan — the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. I am delighted by this visit. The creators of the Center and the specialists who contributed to its establishment have accomplished truly tremendous and commendable work.
First and foremost, the rich history of Uzbekistan and Central Asia is presented here in great depth. At the same time, the history of Islam in the region, its essence, and its values rooted in enlightenment, spirituality, and constructive endeavor are also extensively showcased.
We express our profound gratitude to all those who initiated the establishment of this Center and contributed to its realization, first and foremost to His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In my view, another important feature of the Center is that it does not merely present the past, but connects it with the future. By showcasing history and the heritage of Islamic civilization, it serves as an important educational and cultural space that guides people toward the ideas of progress and positive development.”
During the visit, the Iranian delegation closely explored the Center’s exhibitions. The guests were briefed on the exhibition concept, the history of the civilizations of Uzbekistan and Central Asia, the influence of Islam on the region’s development processes, the scholarly legacy of great scholars, and rare manuscripts.
The guests were also particularly impressed by the Center’s emphasis on presenting historical heritage in harmony with modern technologies. Through digital technologies, interactive solutions, and contemporary visual tools, centuries of history are presented to the new generation in a more engaging and accessible form, which stands out as one of the key features of the Center’s exhibitions.
At the conclusion of the visit, Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh recorded his impressions in the Book of Honored Guests. In his message, he expressed his gratitude for the extensive work carried out at the Center and to all those who contributed to its creation.
