đź”´ For the first time in Uzbekistan — a dagger adorned with precious stones!

A unique dagger created in India in the 18th century, reflecting the high craftsmanship traditions of the Mughal era, is expected to be displayed for the first time in the exhibition of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.

This rare artifact, crafted from jade, gold, precious stones, and steel, measures 38 cm in length, with the blade itself extending 24.5 cm. Each engraving and ornament reflects the noble culture, aesthetic vision, and refined artistic taste of that era.

Acquired this April from the prestigious Sotheby’s auction house, the dagger has been added to the collection alongside two other Mughal-era daggers and a jade dagger hilt. Beyond its military value, the artifact also holds immense significance as a work of art.

This extraordinary piece enriches the treasury of the Center of Islamic Civilization which consists of manuscripts, artistic, and historical exhibits further showcasing the diverse dimensions of civilization.
