The Afghan delegation became acquainted with the Usman Mushaf and other rare manuscripts

A delegation from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and explored its exhibitions in detail. Members of the delegation emphasized that the Center is an important cultural and spiritual hub not only for Uzbekistan but for the entire Muslim world.

The delegation viewed the rare manuscripts, ancient artifacts, and early Islamic-era items preserved at the Center, paying special attention to the oldest and original Usman Mushaf. The guests received information about the preservation of this sacred manuscript, its historical significance, and the conditions created in Uzbekistan to safeguard it.

Abdullah Ubaid, Head of the Treaties and Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said:

“I am very pleased to have come here. I regard it as praiseworthy that not only Islamic heritage but also ancient artifacts are being preserved at such a high level. The most impressive aspect is that the earliest and original Usman Mushaf is kept in this place. The construction of such a magnificent complex at the initiative of your President is truly commendable.”

Afghan officials highly valued the establishment of the Center and its exhibitions equipped with modern museum technologies. They noted that the Center is a significant cultural and spiritual institution not only for Uzbekistan but for the entire Muslim ummah.

Abdul Bari Omar, Director-General of the “Breshna Sherkat” of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, stated:

“The Islamic Civilization Center is truly an extraordinary place. It is of great importance not only for Uzbekistan but for the entire Islamic world. The existence of such a center, built on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, brings us immense joy.”
