18.11.2025, 16:471760

The centuries-long cultural ties linking China and Uzbekistan are once again reaffirmed through the exhibitions of the Islamic Civilization Center after touring the displays, the Chinese Ambassador highly praised the shared history that unites the two nations.

His Excellency Yu Jun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan, visited the Islamic Civilization Center of Uzbekistan. The guest explored all sections of the Center in detail — the Qur’an Hall, the Pre-Islamic era gallery, the First and Second Renaissance exhibitions, and the section titled “New Uzbekistan — The Foundation of a New Renaissance.”

The Ambassador commended the Center’s scientific, cultural, and spiritual dimensions, as well as the rare manuscripts and historical artifacts on display. The modern interactive and digital installations also captured his deep interest.

Mr. Yu Jun was introduced to Uzbekistan’s rich historical heritage, the Central Asian renaissance periods, and the contributions of great scholars to the advancement of science. The sections dedicated to the Great Silk Road and ancient cultural exchange left a particularly strong impression on him.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Chinese Ambassador described the Islamic Civilization Center of Uzbekistan as an exceptional scientific and spiritual institution for the entire region:

“This Center is a vivid embodiment of Uzbekistan’s historical heritage, its great achievements in science, and its rich culture. The culture of the Great Silk Road and the legacy of great scholars presented here remind us not only of Uzbekistan’s past, but also of the shared historical bonds between China and Uzbekistan. The ancient friendship between our two nations continues consistently today and is gaining new meaning.”

The Ambassador also invited Chinese citizens to visit the Center and explore Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage up close.
