“Proof of what science is capable of” — UAE delegation

Members of the UAE delegation noted that during their visit to the Islamic Civilization Center they became closely acquainted with the legacy of great figures such as Al-Khwarizmi, Ibn Sina, and Amir Temur, and emphasized that this place fundamentally changed their perception of history.
The delegation from the United Arab Emirates who visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan acknowledged that the grand complex, established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, plays an important role in presenting the country’s rich historical and spiritual heritage to the world.
During the visit, the historical exhibitions organized in each section attracted particular attention. These included the immersive room in the Pre-Islamic Period section, an artifact featuring a double-headed eagle from the Samanid era in the First Renaissance section, and interactive games on the “Civilizations and Discoveries Wall” in the Second Renaissance section especially activities dedicated to calligraphy that allow visitors to try writing themselves.
In addition, in the “New Uzbekistan — the Foundation of the New Renaissance” section, guests received answers to their questions, including legal matters, through the Humo AI system and highly appreciated this modern approach. The displays in this section, featuring Uzbekistan’s national textiles, youth and sports themes, a section dedicated to Olympic medals, and the country’s proud young athletes, sparked great interest among the visitors.
In the Holy Qur’an Hall, the delegation members emphasized that seeing the rare heritage the Uthman Mushaf was a great honor and privilege for them.
Afaf Kontar, AHI Carrier (United Arab Emirates), said:
“By coming here, I gained a much deeper understanding of Uzbekistan and its history for the first time. This may be my first visit, but it will certainly not be my last. Even though I am a Muslim, I did not know that such great scholars originated specifically from Uzbekistan. This truly amazed me.
Visiting this place is a great honor. Every Muslim, and even non-Muslims, should come here to learn about the achievements Islam has attained throughout history and the great accomplishments of representatives of the Islamic world. This is something to be proud of. Today I learned a great deal about Al-Khwarizmi, Ibn Sina, Amir Temur, and other great figures. Now I feel even more proud to be a Muslim and want to share what I have learned here with others.
I would especially like to highly praise the area designed for children, because today there is a certain gap between the younger generation and history. This place enriches children’s memory and brings them closer to Islamic history. It is extremely beneficial both for children from Uzbekistan and for those coming from other parts of the world.”
Baha’ Khwaira, Manager at AHI Carrier, said:
“As soon as you enter the building, its architecture, corridors, and every small detail draw your attention. I especially liked the entrance foyer. The architectural solutions and mosaics are executed at a very high professional level. They reflect various periods of the history of Central Asia, particularly Uzbekistan, in a very elegant and meaningful way.
I look forward to seeing this center bustling with visitors in the future. I am confident that people will gain great enjoyment from this place.
Young people should definitely visit this center. It helps them take pride in their own history, draw inspiration from a rich heritage, and look to the future with confidence.”
