These video pieces constitute an important part of a large-scale media project initiated by the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, aimed at presenting the rich intellectual legacy of the great thinkers and scholars of the Eastern Renaissance to an international audience through modern and impactful visual storytelling. The videos are designed to introduce global viewers to the scientific achievements, intellectual thought, and spiritual traditions that flourished within the cradle of Islamic civilization.
The project features the participation of Sir Ben Kingsley, who narrates the lives, scholarly legacy, and invaluable contributions to the development of world civilization made by such eminent figures as Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Abu Rayhan al-Biruni, Ibn Sina (Avicenna), Mirzo Ulugh Beg, Alisher Navoi, and Amir Temur.
Within the framework of the “Whispers of Wisdom” project, it is planned to produce more than ten short documentary films dedicated to the lives of outstanding scholars whose ideas and achievements had a profound impact on the development of history, culture, and science. These films are specifically designed for international audiences and will be broadcast through the world’s leading media platforms.
The project is being implemented within the framework of the initiative of the Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and is aimed at widely promoting the country’s rich scholarly and spiritual heritage, strengthening international cultural dialogue, and presenting Uzbekistan to the world as a cradle of ancient civilizations and a center of science and enlightenment.
